Khun Thanat Chindaporn

Khun Thanat is a long-time student of the Venerable Phra Prom Mongkol Vi (Ven. Phra Ajahn Tong Sirimangalo). He is a Satipatthana Vipassana meditation teacher in the Thai Theravada tradition and heads the International Meditation Center in Wat Phradhatu Sri Chomtong Voravihara, founded in 2000. He has been practicing under the direction of Venerable Phra Ajahn Tong Sirimangalo since the mid-1980s and began his teacher training with the late Venerable Venerable Phra Banyat Akkayano at Wat Rampoeng (Tapotaram) in Chiang Mai. He has been teaching Vipassana meditation since 1988 and has led courses in countries including Thailand, Hawaii, America, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Germany, Spain, Slovenia, France, Israel, India and Nepal. In 2004 he was awarded the Thai “Sema Dhammacakka” for his services to the international spread of Buddhism.
