The Wat Buddhapiyawararam is a Thai Buddhist monastery and meditation center near Frankfurt am Main which belongs to the Thai Vipassana tradition. The sponsoring association was founded in 1994 at the suggestion of Venerable Phra Dharmamangalajarn Tong Sirimangalo. The Wat Buddhapiyawararam is a social and cultural meeting point for many Thai and German Buddhists and those interested in meditation, as well as a place where Vipassana meditation can be learned and practiced.

The meditation center is directed by Venerable Bhikkhuni Silavaddhani.
In the summer of 2015 the Venerable Bikkhuni Silavaddhani was entrusted by the Venerable Phra Ajarn Tong Sirimangalo,
to set up and manage another Vipassana meditation center in Germany.
Since 2018 she has been living and teaching at the Dhammanikhom Vipassana meditation center in Heinersbrück near Cottbus in rural Brandenburg.

The Dhammacari Vipassana meditation center is located in Sonnenthal near Allgramsdorf / Rottenburg a.d. Laaber. It is embedded in the hilly landscape of Lower Bavaria and offers ideal conditions for meditation due to its quiet location. In September 2004, at the suggestion of Venerable Ajarn Tong, the Dhammacari Vipassana Meditation Center e.V. was founded with the aim of establishing a meditation center in Germany. This was opened in February 2006 in Sonnenthal (near Munich). Since then Hildegard Huber has lived and taught there. Hildegard Huber has been a student of Venerable Ajarn Tong Sirimangalo since 1992. In 1998 he authorized her as a Vipassana teacher and gave her the name Dhammacari. In 2004 she completely gave up her worldly professional life. Through her many years of meditation practice, she can convey the knowledge and knowledge of teaching in a form that is understandable to everyone. Not only does she pass on her knowledge, but with her gentle nature she accompanies her students in a sensitive way in her meditations.
